Foreign Transaction Fees are fees that credit card assessed when you use your credit cards overseas.  It is usually 3% of the total amount charged.

For example,

• if you purchased $100, the foreign transaction fee is $3
• if you purchased $1,000, the foreign transaction fee is $30

Some credit cards charge foreign transaction fee while some credit cards do not charge foreign transaction fees.
