Question: Can I use my Discover Credit Card in China?

Answer: Yes, you can use your Discover credit card in mainland China whenever UnionPay or Discover acceptance marks are displayed.  Most BIG retailers, stores, restaurants and hotels in China accept credit cards but there are many local local shops that do not accept any credit cards; just cash.

Discover Cards are also accepted in Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Japan.  You can also obtain cash advance from using your Discover Credit Card at ATMs where you see the UnionPay acceptance mark throughout mainland China.  A PIN is required for cash advance.  Please contact Discover if you do not remember your PIN Number.
