Question: Can I use my Discover Credit Card in Japan?

Answer: Yes, you can use your Discover credit card in Japan wherever JCB or Discover acceptance marks are displayed.  Most BIG retailers, stores, restaurants and hotels in Japan accept credit cards, but there are many local shops that do not accept any credit cards; just cash.

Discover Cards are also accepted in Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and China.  You can also obtain cash advance from using your Discover Credit Card at ATMs where you see the JCB acceptance mark throughout Japan.  This includes 7-Eleven convenience stores ATMs, Japan Post Office ATMs and Bank of Mitsubishi UFJ ATM locations.  A PIN is required for cash advance.  Please contact Discover if you do not remember your PIN Number.
